In the studio, I approach painting as a form of intuitive exploration. Without a set plan, I begin by responding to color and gesture, letting my instinct and mood guide each mark. As the work evolves, visions of beaches, shifting sand, sunlight on water, and the textures of rocks from my travels appear in my work. These memories don’t emerge as literal depictions, but rather as emotional traces embedded in color, movement, and form. The process is joyful way of reconnecting with places I’ve loved and allowing those sensory impressions to find new life on the paper.
